NHSBT operates in England and North Wales. (The rest of Wales and Scotland is managed by the Welsh & Scottish Blood Service).

The services are currently made up of 3 types of centres/sites:

• Main Centres – All services x13 sites
• Static Sites – Permanent centres primarily for donating blood but other services are available at some sites. Staffed by Donor Carers & Nurses
• Base Teams – Mobile Collection Teams – visit Community Centres, offices etc. Around 50% of NHSBT staff are employed to work in this kind of team

We have over 50 bases across the UK, each employing a range of roles. At present we have main centres at the following locations, with additional bases in and around these areas.
